Your service to the Divine must be scrupulously honest, disinterested and unselfish, otherwise it has no value. In human life the cause of all difficulties, all discords, all moral sufferings, is the presence in everyone of the ego with its desires,its likes and dislikes. Even in a disinterested work which consists in helping others, until one has learned to overcome the ego and its demands, until one can force it to keep calm and quiet in one corner, the ego reacts to everything that displeases it, starts an inner storm that rises to the surface and spoils all the work. This work of overcoming the ego is long, slow and difficult; it demands constant alertness and sustained effort. It is the latter who catch all the unpleasant things. Those who are radiant (they may be radiant without it being a spiritual radiance, they may simply radiate good sense, balance, an inner confidence, the joy of living), those who carry in themselves the joy of living, these are in harmony with Nature and, being in harmony with Nature, generally avoid accidents, they are immune from diseases and their life develops pleasantly as far as it is possible in the world as it is. வாழ்வில் சுமூகத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை அன்னை மேற்கண்டவாறு கூறுகிறார்.  வாழ்வில் நிம்மதியின்மை, திருப்தியிலாத தன்மை, சோர்வு, எப்போதும் மகிழ்ச்சியில்லாத மனம், மற்ற மனிதர்களை வெறுக்கும் தன்மை ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டவர்கள் - எவையெல்லாம் வாழ்வில் இனிமையாக இல்லையோ, கசப்பைக் கொடுக்குமோ அவற்றை எல்லாம் ஏற்கிறார்கள் என்று எச்சரிக்கிறார் அன்னை.   ஆனால் சந்தோஷம், மகிழ்ச்சி, எப்போது பிரகாசமான மலர்ந்த முகம் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டவர்கள் ஒளியின் பாதையில் இருப்பதோடு, அவர்கள் வாழ்கையை மகிழ்ச்சியோடு வாழ்வதை ஏற்கிறார்கள்.  இதன் மூலம் அவர்கள் இயற்கையுடன், சுமூகமாக இருப்பதனால், அவர்கள் விபத்துகளில் இருந்து தப்புகிறார்கள், நோய் நொடி வராத எதிர்ப்புசக்தியினைப் பெறுகிறார்கள், வாழ்வில் முன்னேற்றங்களைப் பெறுகிறார்கள் மற்றும் தங்கள் வாழ்வை மகிழ்வுடன் நடத்துகிறார்கள் என்கிறார் அன்னை. This is a thing very little known among mystics and religious people: in each part of the being the Divine manifests Himself differently. In the higher parts He manifests as Power, Love, etc., but in the physical He manifests as Harmony and Beauty. இறைவன் உயர்ந்த பகுதியாக, சக்தியிலும், அன்பிலும் வெளிப்படுறான். Physical ஆக அவன் சுமூகத்திலும், அழகிலும் வெளிப்படுகிறான்.  If everybody expressed the divine Will, there would be no conflict any longer, anywhere, all would be in harmony.  இறைவனின் விருப்பம் செயல்பட்டால், அந்த இடத்தில் அல்லது அந்த விஷயத்தில் எந்த விதமான முரண்பாடுகளோ, சச்சரவுகளோ இல்லாமல் சுமூகம் மட்டுமே நிலைத்திருக்கும் என்று சுமூகத்தின் இன்றியமையாமையை வலியுறுத்துகிறார் ஸ்ரீ அன்னை. But these habits should be controlled and disciplined, while remaining flexible enough to adapt themselves to circumstances and to the needs of the growth and development of the being  நமது உடலே பழக்க வழக்கங்களால் ஆனதுதான். ஆகையால் நமது பழக்கங்கள் யாவும் கட்டுப்பாடுடன், முறைபடுத்தப்பட வேண்டியவை என்கிறார் ஸ்ரீ அன்னை. Sri Aurobindo has often written on this subject in his letters. He has said that if you don’t know how to take care of material things, you have no right to have them. Indeed this shows a kind of selfishness and confusion in the human being, and it is not a good sign. And then later when they grow up, some of them cannot keep a cupboard in order or a drawer in order. They may be in a room which looks very tidy and very neat outwardly, and then you open a drawer or a cupboard, it is like a battlefield! Everything is pell-mell. You find everything in a jumble; nothing is arranged. பொருட்களைக் கையாளும் முறைகளைப் பற்றியும் ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தர் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். சுத்தமாக உள்ள அறைகளில் உள்ள CupBoard களில் உள்ள பொருட்களும், ஒழுங்காக, முறையாக அடுக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்கிறார். அவ்வாறு செய்யாத போது நமக்கு அவற்றின் மீது உரிமை இல்லை என்கிறார். Well, for oneself, one must organise one’s own things—and at the same time one’s own ideas—in the same way, and must know exactly where things are and be able to go straight to them, because one’s organisation is logical. பொருட்களை முறைபடுத்திக் கையாள்வதன் மூலம் , ஒருவர் தனது பண்பினையும் Character - ஐயும் முறைபடுத்திக் கொள்ள முடியும். இத்தகைய பண்பை நாம் பின்பற்றினால், நமது Physical Life - முன்னேற்றத்தைப் பெறுவதோடு, வாழ்வும் இனிமையாகும் என்கிறார் அன்னை. ......... And those who can do that are generally those who can put their ideas into order and can also organise their character  and can finally control their movements. And then, if you make progress, you succeed in governing your physical life; you begin to have a control over your physical movements. If you take life in that way, truly it becomes interesting. That alone can open the way, that alone can do the miracle. உண்மையான அன்பினால் அற்புதங்களை நிகழ்த்த முடியும் என்கிறார் அன்னை. True love can achieve extraordinary things, but it is rare. All kinds of miracles can be done out of love for the person one loves—not for everyone, but for the people or the person one loves. But it has to be a love free from all vital mixture, an absolutely pure and selfless love which demands nothing in return, which expects nothing in return. ஸ்ரீ அன்னை அரவிந்தரின் அற்புதங்களை தொகுத்து திரு. கர்மயோகி அவர்கள் எழுதியுள்ள கட்டுரையில் இருந்து சில செய்திகள் ஸ்ரீ  அரவிந்தர்  பரிச்சயமில்லாத எளிய  பக்தரின்  கடிதத்திற்காக ஆவலாகக்  காத்திருந்தது. அன்னையைத் தரிசித்து மெய்மறந்து கையில் இருந்தகாணிக்கையைக் கொடுக்க மறந்த  பக்தரின்  கையிலிருந்து அன்னையே   காணிக்கையை எடுத்துக்  கொண்டது. தம்  வீட்டில் கல் விழ மந்திரம் செய்தவன் அதனால் உயிர் பிரிய வேண்டிய நேரத்தில் பகவான் அவன் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றியது. சோகமே உருவானவர் மனத்தில் முதல் தரிசனம் சோகம் ஆனந்தமாக  மாறி மனம் துள்ளியது. எளிய  பக்தனின் தேவைக்காக நாட்டு சட்டம் மாறியது. போகுமிடமெல்லாம் அன்னை நல்லவர் உருவத்தில் நம்மை எதிர்கொண்டது.  பாஷை தெரியாத இமயமலை அடிவாரத்தில் வழிதவறிய தமிழ்ப்   பெண்மணிக்கு பிரார்த்தனைகள்  அனைத்தும்  தவறிய பொழுது, "அன்னை   என்கிறார்களே, அவராவது என்னைக் காப்பாற்றக்கூடாதா?'' என்றவருக்கு   தமிழ் குரல் கேட்டு அவரைக் காப்பாற்றி தம் மக்களுடன்  சேர்த்தது. பக்தருக்கு ஆபத்து ஏற்படுத்தியவர்கட்கு பக்தருக்கு எதுவும் தெரியாமல்,   ஆபத்து கொடுத்தவர்  மீது  திரும்பியது. பிரார்த்தனையால் அக்னி நட்சத்திரத்தில் பெருமழை பெய்து பயிரைக்   காப்பாற்றியது. வியாபார நிமித்தமாக 8000/-  ரூபாய்க்கு  செய்த  வேலையை சேவை என    அறியாதவர் தொழில் 28லட்சத்திலிருந்து 1200  கோடியானது. அறிவுடைய உழைப்புக்கு தொழில் 365 மடங்கு பெருகியது. பொற்கிழியை எவரும் அறியாமல் ஏற்பாடு செய்த பொழுது, 24 மடங்கு பெருகியது. மார்க்கெட் நம்மை நாடி வருவது. பணம் நம்மைத் தேடி வருவது. அறிவில்லாத   காரியங்களை ஆர்வமாகச் செய்யும் சுபாவமுடையவர்  தம்  கை  முதலை அதுபோல்  இழந்தபொழுது  3 முறை  காப்பாற்றியது. தன்னை அறியாமல்  செய்த சேவையால் விலை போகாத பொருள் 8   மடங்கு விலை போனது. தான் செய்வது  சேவை என உணராதவர் உணர்ந்து பிரார்த்தனை   செய்தபொழுது 20 ஆண்டுகட்கு  முன்  இழந்த சொத்து  திரும்பி  வந்தது.  அன்னை  நிழலின் சாயல் தற்செயலாய் வந்தவர்க்கு   25 ஆண்டுகட்கு    முன் செய்த சேவைக்கு  விருது  வந்தது. மந்திரி   முயன்று   கிடைக்காத வேலை   சேவையை   கசப்பாக ஏற்றவர்க்குக்  கிடைத்தது. தாயார்   தர   மறுத்த   அன்பை குழந்தைக்கு அபரிமிதமாக ஆசிரியர்கள்  தந்தது. கருத்த  விகாரமான  முகம்  Life Divine படிப்பதால் கருமை நீங்கி, அழகு பெற்று   சிறந்த அழகெனக் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. கடலில் மூழ்கும் அன்பர் அன்னையை அழைக்க மறந்தபொழுது,   அன்னையே உள்ளிருந்து   குரல்   கொடுத்து உயிரைக்  காப்பாற்றியது. ஆபத்தில் அன்னையை மறந்து  அலறியவர்  குரலுக்கு பதிலாக உயிரைக்   காப்பாற்றியது. அன்னையை அறியாதவர் பென்சிலின் ஷாக் பெற்று உயிர் போனபின் அவர் மன உறுதிக்கு பலன்தர  அன்னை  சக்தி  அவர் உயிரைக்  காப்பாற்றியது. சர்க்காருக்கு  தபால்  எழுதிய விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு பதிலாக தந்தி மூலம்   சர்க்கார் சொத்தைக் காப்பாற்றியது. பாஸ் செய்தால் 70 ரூபாய் சம்பளத்தில் வேலைத் தருவதாகக்   கூறிய   பிரமுகர் பையன்  பெயிலானபின் தரிசனத்தால்  ரூ.250/-இல் வேலைப்  பெற்றுத்  தந்தது. அடாவடிக்காரன் பணத்தை தானே  திருப்பிக்  கொடுத்தது. வீட்டிற்கு வந்த அமீனா  ஜப்தி செய்யாமல்  போனது. ஓராண்டில் தொழில் 15 மடங்கு  பெருகியது. 6 மாதத்தில் இலாபம் 10 மடங்கானது REF : -Words of the Mother -II,                     --------

"Answers from Mother" என்ற நூலில் இருந்து ஒரு சிறிய பகுதி.

I repeat: having faith in yourself cannot take you very far and it is certain that sooner or later you will feel a reaction and be obliged to stop.

First establish the true attitude, which is to find your base, your support and your help in the Divine alone—then all possibility of fatigue will disappear. Until then it is better to let the
servant do at least part of the work, which you can supervise if you like.

நாம், நம்மீது மட்டும் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து செய்யும், எந்த செயலும் நம்மை  (வாழ்வில் ) வெகு தூரத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லாது. விரைவிலேயே அதற்கான பலனை நீங்கள் உணர்ந்து, அதனை நிறுத்த வேண்டிய கட்டாயம் வரலாம். 

செய்யும் எந்த செயலிலும், இறைவனை மட்டுமே துணையாக, உதவியாக, அடிப்படையாகக் கொள்ளும் உண்மையான மனப்பாங்கினை நாம் கொண்டால், எந்த செயலினை செய்யும் போது, அதில் ஏற்படும் சோர்வும், களைப்பும் மற்றும் பிரச்சனைகள் நீங்குககின்றன.

அன்னை தனது அஜெண்டா என்ற நூலில் தனது ஆன்மீக வாழ்வின் ஒவ்வொரு அனுபவங்களையும் பதிவு செய்துள்ளார்.  உடலின் திருவுருமாற்றங்களைப் பற்றிய பல்வேறு செய்திகளையும் அவர் அதில் கூறியுள்ளார். அதில் இருந்து ஒரு சிறிய பகுதி.

Mother says  :

When we speak of transformation, the meaning of the word is still vague to us. It gives us the impression of something that is going to happen which will set everything right. The idea more or less boils down to this: if we have difficulties, the difficulties will vanish; those who are ill will be cured of their illness; if the body has infirmities or incapacities, the infirmities or incapacities will fade away, and so forth ... But as I have said, it is very vague, it is only an impression. Now, what is quite remarkable about the body consciousness is that it is unable to know a thing with precision and in all its details except when it is just about to be realized. Thus, when the process of transformation becomes clear, when we are able to know by what sequence of movements and changes the total transformation will take place, in what order, by which path, as it were, which things will come first, which will follow – when everything is known, in all its details, it will be a sure indication that the hour of realization is near, for each time you perceive a detail accurately, it means that you are ready to carry it out.

(Summary - Not the Translation ) இங்கு அன்னை உடலின் திருவுருமாற்றம் பற்றிக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். Transformation திருவுருமாற்றம் என்ற சொல்லின் அர்த்தமானது நமது தெளிவற்றதாக உள்ளது. எல்லாம் சரியாக நடக்க  ஏதோ ஒன்று நிகழ்வதாக அது நமக்கு ஒரு தோற்றத்தை அல்லது  பிம்பத்தை அளிக்கிறது. அதாவது, உடலின் திருவுருமாற்றம் என்பது எல்லா துன்பங்களையும் மறையச் செய்கிறது, நமது உடல் நோயில் இருந்து விடுபடுகிறது, நமது தகுதியற்ற தன்மைகளையும், பலவீனங்களையும் நம்மிடம் இருந்து விலக்குகிறது என்று நாம் எண்ணுவோம். ஆனால் இது ஒரு தெளிவற்ற எண்ணம் என்று அன்னை கூறுகிறார். நம்மால் எப்பொழுது, நிகழும் தொடர்ச்சியான மாற்றங்களையும், அவை எந்த முறையில், எந்த வழியில் நடக்கிறது மற்றும்  எது முதலில் வந்தது, எது நடக்கப்போகிறது என்பதையெல்லாம் உணர முடிகிறதோ, அதுவே இறைவனை உணரும் தருணம் நெருங்கி விட்டது என்பதற்கான அறிகுறியாகும். ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் நீங்கள் இதனை தெளிவாக  உணர்கிறீர்கள் எனில், திருவுருமாற்றத்தினை ஏற்க நீங்கள் தயாராகி விட்டதாகப் பொருள் என்கிறார் அன்னை.

it is quite certain that under the influence of the supramental light, the transformation of the body consciousness will take place first then will come a progress in the mastery and control of all the movements and workings of all the body’s organs; afterwards this mastery will gradually change into a kind of radical modification of the movement and then of the constitution of the organ itself. All this is certain, although rather vague to our perception. But what will finally take place – once the various organs are replaced by centers of concentration of forces, each with a different quality and nature and each acting according to its own special mode – is still a mere conception, and the body does not understand very well, for it is still very far from the realization, and the body can really understand only when it is on the point of being able to do.

மனிதன் இறைவனை நேசிக்க முடியும் என்பது அதிசயமான ஒன்று, ஆனால் அவன் மற்ற மனிதர்களிடம் அன்பு செலுத்துவதில்லை. வேறு எவரிடம் அவன் அன்பாயிருக்க முடியும்? Philanthropy ன் மூலம் இறைவனை அடைய முடியுமா?

(Philanthropy என்ற சொல்லுக்கு மனிதளவின நேயம், மனிதர்கள் பால் அன்பு, கொடையாண்மை , சமுதாயத்தொண்டு என பல

Mother says  : It depends on what you mean by philanthropy. Normally, we call philanthropists those who do charitable works.

Here Sri Aurobindo does not use the word philanthropy,
for, as it is usually understood, philanthropy is a social and conventional attitude, a kind of magnified egoism which is not love but a condescending pity which assumes a patronising air.

 In this aphorism Sri Aurobindo refers to those who follow
the ascetic path in solitary search of a solitary God, by trying to cut themselves off completely from the world and men.

 இங்கு, ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தர்  philanthropy என்ற சொல்லுக்கு நாம் வழக்கமாகக் கொள்ளும் அர்த்தத்தைக் குறிப்பிடவில்லை என்கிறார் அன்னை. உலகில் இருந்தும் மற்ற மனிதர்களில் இருந்தும் தம்மை விலக்கிக் கொண்டு இறைவனைத் தேடிச் செல்லும் ஆன்மீக வழியை இங்கு குறிப்பிடுகிறார், பகவான்.

But for Sri Aurobindo men form part of the Divine; and if
you truly love the Divine, how can you not love men, since they are an aspect of Himself?

ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தரைப் பொறுத்தவரை, மனிதன் இறைவனின் ஒரு பகுதியாவான். மேலும் நீங்கள் இறைவனின் மீது அன்பு செலுத்துகிறீர்கள் எனில், இறைவனின் ஓர் அம்சமாகிய  மனிதர்களிடம் அன்பு செலுத்தாமல் இருக்க முடியுமா என்ற கேள்வியும் எழுப்புகிறார் ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தர் .

Question:  மனிதனை விட நாய்கள் விசுவாசம் மிக்கது இல்லையா  என்ற கேள்விக்கு ஸ்ரீ அன்னையின் பதில். Certainly! Because it is their nature to be faithful, and they have no mental complications. What prevents men from being faithful are their mental complications. Most men are not faithful because they fear being duped. You don’t know what it is to be duped? They fear being deceived, being exploited. கண்டிப்பாக. விசுவாசம், அவற்றின் இயற்கையான குணம், மேலும் மனரீதியான சிக்கல்களும், நாய்களுக்கு இல்லை. மனிதனின் மனக் குழப்பங்களும், சிக்கல்களும் அவனை இப்பண்பை அடைவதில் இருந்து தடுக்கின்றன. நாம் ஏமாற்றப்பட்டு விடுவோமோ, தம்மை காரியம் சாதிப்பதற்காக மட்டும் பயன்படுத்துகிறார்களோ  என்ற பயம் அவர்களுக்கு உள்ளதால் அவர்கள் விசுவாசமாக இருப்பது இல்லை. They fear... Behind their faithfulness there is still a very big egoism which is more or less hidden, and there is always that bargaining, more or less conscious, of give-and-take: one gives oneself to someone but whether one tells oneself this or not, one expects something in exchange. You are faithful, but also want others to be faithful to you, that is, look after you, to be quite sweet to you, and, especially not to try to profit by your faithfulness. None of these complications are there in the dog, for its mind is very rudimentary (involving or limited to basic principles.) It does not have this marvellous capacity of reasoning that men have, a capacity which has made them commit so many stupidities. மனிதர்கள் காட்டும் விசுவாசத்தில் மிகப் பெரிய ஈகோவும் (ego) மறைந்து உள்ளது. பேரம் பேசுதல் மற்றும் தான் கொடுப்பதற்கு பிரதிபலனாக , மற்றவர்களிடம் இருந்து எதிர்பார்க்கும் பண்பும் அவர்களிடம் உள்ளது. நாம் நன்றியுடன், விசுவாசத்துடன் இருந்தால் மற்றவர்களும் நம்மிடம் அப்படியே நடந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம். மற்றவர்கள் நம்மை கவனித்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும், நம்மிடம் அன்புடன் இருக்க வேண்டும்,  ஆனால் நமது விசுவாசத்தை அவர்களின் லாபத்திற்கு பயன் படுத்திக் கொள்ளக்கூடாது என்றெல்லாம் நாம் பலவிதமாக நமது விசுவாசத்தைக் காட்டுவதில் நிபந்தனைகளைக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறோம். இவற்றில் எந்த விதமான எதிர்பார்ப்புகளும் நாய்களுக்கு இல்லை, ஏனென்னில் அவற்றின் மனம் மிக அடிப்படையான கொள்கைகளைக் கொண்டது. If we take this faithfulness, if we take devotion, take love, the meaning of  service, all these things, when they are above the egoistic level, they meet, in the sense that they give themselves and do not expect anything in exchange. And if you climb one step higher, instead of its being done with the idea of duty and abnegation, it is done with an intense joy which carries within itself its own reward, which needs nothing in exchange, for it carries its joy in itself. From Questions and Answers - 1953

If everything comes from Him, why are there so many errors?

                    (எல்லாமே  இறைவனிடம் இருந்து வருகிறது எனில், ஏன் தவறுகள் நிகழ்கின்றன ? )

                   ஸ்ரீ அன்னையின் விளக்கம்:

You must not believe that everything that happens to you in life comes to you naturally from the Divine, that is, that it is the Truth-Consciousness which is directing your life. For if everything came from Him, it would be impossible for you to make a mistake.

              (இறைவனிடம் இருந்து மட்டுமே அனைத்தும் வருகிறது என்றால், நீங்கள் தவறு செய்ய வாய்ப்பே இல்லை.)

How does it happen that there’s error everywhere?  Why do things go in opposition to the Divine and to what they ought
to be?... Because there are numerous elements which cross each other and intervene.

                     (ஏன் தவறுகள் நிகழ்கின்றன? நிகழ்வுகள் இறைவனுக்கு எதிரானதாக மாற காரணம் என்ன?

Wills cross each other, the strongest gets
the best of it. It is this complexity of norms that has created a determinism. The divineWill is completely veiled by this host of things. So I have said here (Mother takes her book): “You must accept all things—and only those things—that come from the Divine. Because things can come from concealed desires. The desires work in the subconscious and attract things to you of which possibly you may not recognise the origin, but which do not come from the Divine but from disguised desires.”

ஏனென்னில், நமது பலவிதமான விருப்பங்கள் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று குறுக்கிடுகின்றன. இந்த சிக்கலான எண்ணங்களால், விருப்பங்களால், இறைவனின் எண்ணம் முழுவதுமாக மறைக்கப்பட்டு விடுகிறது, தவறுகள் எழ இது காரணமாகிறது.

இறைவனிடம் இருந்து வருவதை மட்டுமே ஏற்க நீங்கள் விருப்பம் கொள்ள வேண்டும். நமது எல்லா செயல்களிலும் விருப்பம், ஆசை என்பது மறைந்துள்ளது.நமது ஆழ்மனதில் உறைந்துள்ள அந்த ஆசைகள், வாழ்வில் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகள் நடக்க காரணமாகின்றன. அவை நடப்பதர்க்கான மூல காரணத்தை நாம் உணர்வது இல்லை. அவற்றில் தவறுகள் இருப்பின், அவை நம் ஆசைகள் குறுக்கிடுவதால் மட்டுமே அன்றி, தெய்வத்தினிடம் இருந்து வருவதில்லை.
