Message of the Day - பெண் - Perfect equality

...............In any case, until the manifestation of a new conception and consciousness compels Nature to create a new species which would no longer have to yield to the necessity of animal procreation and thus be under the obligation of dividing into two complementary sexes, the best that can be done for the progress of the present human race is to treat both sexes on a footing of perfect equality, to give them the same education and training and to teach them to find, through a constant contact with a Divine Reality that is above all sexual differentiation, the source of all possibilities and harmonies. In their best moments, both man and woman can forget their difference of sex, but it reappears at the slightest provocation; the woman feels she is a woman, the man knows he is a man and the quarrel is revived indefinitely in one form or another, open or veiled, and perhaps all the more bitter the less it is admitted. And one wonders whether it will not be so until there are no longer any men or women, but living souls expressing their identical origin in sexless bodies. You can find all the answers to all your questions there. Everything is explained, even the future of man and of the evolution, all that nobody yet knows. He has described it all in beautiful and clear words so that spiritual adventurers who wish to solve the mysteries of the world may understand it more easily.........

Sri Aurobindo about Savitri:

The tale of Satyavan and Savitri is recited in the Mahabharata as a story of conjugal love conquering death. But this legend is, as shown by many features of the human tale, one of the many symbolic myths of the Vedic cycle. Satyavan is the soul carrying the divine truth of being within itself but descended into the grip of death and ignorance; Savitri is the Divine Word, daughter of the Sun, goddess of the supreme Truth who comes down and is born to save; Aswapati, the Lord of the Horse, her human father, is the Lord of Tapasya, the concentrated energy of spiritual endeavour that helps us to rise from the mortal to the immortal planes; Dyumatsena, Lord of the Shining Hosts, father of Satyavan, is the Divine Mind here fallen blind, losing its celestial kingdom of vision, and through that loss its kingdom of glory. Still this is not a mere allegory, the characters are not personified qualities, but incarnations or emanations of living and conscious Forces with whom we can enter into concrete touch and they take human bodies in order to help man and show him the way from his mortal state to a divine consciousness and immortal life.

Message of the Day - You must not project human ideas upon the Divine - இறைவன் தண்டிப்பதில்லை

....But then that means they are not sincere? How is it then that the Divine responds? You think that the Divine has a small human judgment! You must not project human ideas upon the Divine. If you are not sincere, what happens is that your own consciousness is veiled. Take, for example, a man who tells lies; his consciousness gets veiled and after a while, he can no longer distinguish falsehood from truth. He sees images and calls them truth. One who is wicked loses his aspiration, loses his capacity of realisation, loses all possibility of understanding, feeling and realising. That is the punishment. One puts veils, obstacles between oneself and the Divine. That is how one punishes oneself. The Divine does not withdraw; one makes oneself incapable of receiving him. The Divine does not distribute in this way rewards and punishments, it is not at all like that.   When one is insincere, when one has bad will, when one is a traitor, one punishes oneself instantaneously. Insincere people lose even the little bit of consciousness that would make them know that they are wicked; they become as though unconscious. Happy is he who possesses nothing, he will partake of the delight of the radiant gods.   ” To possess nothing does not at all mean not to make use of anything, not to have anything at one’s disposal.    “Happy is he who possesses nothing”: he is someone who has no sense of possession, who can make use of things when they come to him, knowing that they are not his, that they belong to the Supreme, and who, for the same reason, does not regret it when things leave him; he finds it quite natural that the Lord who gave him these things should take them away from him for others to enjoy.    எதுவும் தன்னுடையது என்று நினைக்காத மனிதனே சந்தோஷமாக இருப்பவன். தன்னைத் தேடி வரும் எந்தப் பொருளையும், அது தன்னுடையது அன்று - இறைவனைச் சேர்ந்தது என்ற நினைவுடன் பயன்படுத்துபவனே, தனது என்ற எண்ணமிலாதவன். அவனே சந்தோஷமாக இருப்பவன். அப்பொருள் அவனை விட்டு நீங்கும் பொழுதும் அவன் வருந்துவதில்லை என்கிறார் ஸ்ரீ அன்னை.   Such a man finds equal joy in the use of things as in the absence of things.When you have them at your disposal, you receive them as a gift of Grace and when they leave you,when they have been taken away from you, you live in the joy of destitution.   For it is the sense of ownership that makes you cling to things, makes you their slave, otherwise one could live in constant joy and in the ceaseless movement of things that come and go and pass, that bring with them both the sense of fullness when they are there and, when they go, the delight of detachment. நம் மனநிலை மகிழ்ச்சிகரமாக இருக்கும்பொழுது அது நம் உடம்பை ஆரோக்கியமாகவும், இளமையாகவும் வைத்துக்கொள்ள உதவுகின்றது. மகிழ்ச்சி நம் உடம்பிற்கு ஒரு புது தெம்பைக் கொடுத்து, நோய் எதிர்ப்பு சக்தியை வலுப்படுத்துகிறது. அகத்தின் நல்லெண்ணம் புறத்தின் கலகலப்பான குதூகலம். அன்னை அதை cheerfulness சந்தோஷம் என்கிறார். ஒருவர் சந்தோஷம் அவர் உலக சுபிட்சம்.         சுபிட்சம் சந்தோஷமாக ஆரம்பிக்கிறது.         சுபிட்சத்தை நாடுபவருடைய ஆரம்பம் சந்தோஷம். சாதனையை நாடுபவரின் சந்தோஷம் தெம்பான திறமை. வெற்றியின் ஆரம்பம் பொங்கி வரும் சந்தோஷம். - கர்மயோகி  அவர்களின் ஆன்மீக மற்றும் மனோதத்துவ உண்மைகள்  என்ற கட்டுரையில் இருந்து..
