பண்டிகைகள் கொண்டாடுவது எதற்காக?

நமது சிந்தனைக்கு:

வீட்டில் விசேஷம், பண்டிகைகள் என்பனவெல்லாம் காலம் காலமாக நடந்து கொண்டு இருக்கின்றன. இவைகள் கொண்டாடப்படுவதன் அர்த்தம் என்ன? Purpose என்ன என்று கூடத் தெரியாமல் நம்மில் சிலர் இருக்கிறோம் என்பதும் உண்மைதானே? சாதராணமான வாழ்க்கையில், பண்டிகை என்பது புத்தாடை உடுப்பது, விருந்தினர்களை வரவேற்று இனிப்புகள் பரிமாறிக்கொள்வது என பலவழிகளிலும் அவரவர் விருபத்திற்கேற்பவும், வசதிக்கேற்பவும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. சில இடங்களில் ஆடம்பரத்தையும், பகட்டையும், வீண்பெருமையையும் நாம் காண்கிறோம். இவை அத்தனையும் சாதாரண வாழ்க்கையில் உழலும் மக்களுக்கே. ஆன்மீகத்தின் உண்மையை அல்லது தத்துவத்தை புரிந்து கொள்ள முயலும் அல்லது புரிந்து தெளிந்த மனிதர்களுக்கு பண்டிகை என்பதை வேறு கோணத்திலும் பார்க்க முடியும். நாமும் பார்க்க கற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.


 உதாரணமாக தீபாவளி என்பது இருளை, ஒளியானது வெற்றி கொண்ட நாளை நினைவு கூறும் தினமாகும்.

ஆடம்பரம், பகட்டு, பெருமை ஆகிய எண்ணங்களை விட்டு,  நம்மில் ஒளிந்திருக்கும் தீமையை அழிக்கும் நாளாகவும் இதைக் கொள்ளலாம் இல்லையா?

நம்மை புரிந்து கொள்ளாத உறவினர்களிடம் கூட, வெறுப்பு என்ற தாழ்ந்த குணத்தைக் காட்டாமல், அவர்களிடம் அன்பு காட்டி, அன்னை விரும்பும் சுமூகத்தை வளர்க்கும் நாளாகக் கொள்ளலாம் அல்லவா?
 
நம்மில் இருக்கும் இருளை, இறைவனின் ஒளி கொண்டு அழிப்போம். இறைவனின் விருப்பத்தை நாம் பூர்த்தி செய்யும் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நமக்கு பண்டிகைதான், வெற்றித் திரு விழாதான்.


மனிதன்தான் தனது விருப்பத்திற்கு ஏற்ப பண்டிகைகளுக்கு அர்த்தம் கொடுத்துள்ளான் என்கிறார் அன்னை.

இது பற்றி சில அன்பர்கள் கேட்ட கேள்விகளுக்கு, அன்னை கூறிய சில பதில்களை இங்கு காண்போம்.

 Question : What is the origin, significance and purpose of festivals such as Deepavali, Dasera, Rakhipurnima, etc.—and also some of the western festivals? On these days do the gods respond more to human aspirations? What is the connection between the inner truth and the external functions of these festivals? Lastly, what should be our attitude towards these festivals?
 Mother's Answer:  Men like festivals.

  Question : As an answer to my letter on the significance of festivals you wrote to me: “Menlike festivals.”Does it thenmean that they are men’s fancy and whim? Have they no meaning and no utility?
Mother's Answer: It is men who give a meaning to festivals in order to legitimate their presence. 

இப்படி அன்னை கூறிய வழியில், அதில் பொதிந்துள்ள உணமைகளை உணர்ந்து, நம் வாழ்வின் எல்லாப் பகுதிகளிலும் சத்தியத்தை கொண்டு வருவோம் இந்த நாளில்.

இறைவனின் கருணை எப்போது நமக்கு கிடைக்கிறது?

நமது சிந்தனைக்கு:

வாழ்வில் நாம் எந்தனையோ வெற்றி தோல்விகளைச் சந்திக்கிறோம். வாழ்வில் நாம் செய்யும் ஒவ்வொரு செயலிலும் உண்மையும், தர்மமும் இருக்கின்றதா, நாம் உண்மையுடம் செயல்பட்டோமா என்ற ஆராய்ந்து பார்ப்பவர்கள் நீங்கள் எனில் இந்தக் கட்டுரை உங்களுக்காகத்தான். நமது செயல்களுக்கு இறைவனின் கருணை எப்போது கிடைக்கிறது?

அன்னையின் முறைகளைப் பற்றிப் பேசும் பொழுது சமர்ப்பணம் (Consecration) , சரணாகதி (Surrender) மற்றும் திருவுருமாற்றம் (Transformation) என்ற பெரும் விஷயங்கள் பிரிக்க முடியாதவை.  நீங்கள் வெற்றி அடைந்த செயல்களில் உங்களுடைய ஆசை அல்லது விருப்பம் (aspiration) எவ்வளவு தீவிரமாக இருந்தது என்பது நீங்கள் எண்ணிப் பார்த்ததுண்டா?   தோல்வி அடைந்த நிகழ்வுகளில் ஏதேனும் பொய் கலந்துள்ளதா என்று நீங்கள் சிந்தித்ததுண்டா?
நாம் செய்யும் செயல்கள் எப்படி இருக்கவேண்டும். சரணாகதி செய்வது என்பது எவ்வாறு இருக்க வேண்டும்?

சரணாகதி என்பது முழு மனதோடு இருக்கவேண்டும்.சரணாகதியை  நமது மனதில் நம்பிக்கையிலாமல் செய்வது, -  சரணாகதி செய்யும் செயலில் பொய் மற்றும் சுயநலம்,  - தோல்வி, நஷ்டம் அல்லது செயலின் எதிர் மறை விளைவுகளை பற்றிய சிந்தனைகளுடன் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாமல் சரணாகதி செய்வது என்பது முழுமையான சரணாகதி ஆகாது. அதனால் பலனும் இல்லை.

  அன்னை இது பற்றி கூறும் போது, இறைவனின் கருணை செயல்பட சத்தியத்தின் ஒளியும், உண்மையும் வேண்டும் ; அறியாமையிலும், பொய்மையிலும் செய்யப்படும் செயல்களில் சத்திய ஜீவியம் செயல்படாது என்கிறார். பொய் என்றும் இறைவனின் சக்தி செயல்பட வழி வகுக்காது என்று வலியுறுத்துகிறார்.


உங்களது  சரணாகதியின் பின்னணியில், அகங்காரமும், மனதின் சுயநலமான ஆசைகளும், விருப்பங்களும் உள்ளது எனில், நீங்கள் திருவுருமாற்றத்தை நாடுவதே சிறந்த செயல் என்று கூறுகிறார்.

உண்மையும் பொய்யும், இருளுள் ஒளியும், சரணாகதியும் சுயநலமும் ஒரே இடத்தில் இருக்க வாய்ப்பு இல்லை என்று அன்னை கூறுகிறார். நம்மிடம் குறை இருந்தது எனில் அதனை திருவுரு மாற்றம் அடையச் செய்ய நாம் இறைவனிடம் கேட்க வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறுகிறார்.

இதைப் பற்றி அன்னை எழுதிய சில கருத்துக்கள்....

....There must be a total and sincere surrender; there must be an exclusive self-opening to the divine Power; there must be a constant and integral choice of the Truth that is descending, a constant and integral rejection of the falsehood of the mental, vital and physical Powers and Appearances that still rule the earth-Nature.

If behind your devotion and surrender you make a cover for your desires, egoistic demands and vital insistences, if you put these things in place of the true aspiration or mix them with it and try to impose them on the Divine Shakti, then it is idle to invoke the divine Grace to transform you.

If you call for the Truth and yet something in you chooses what is false, ignorant and undivine or even simply is unwilling to reject it altogether, then always you will be open to attack and the Grace will recede from you.  Detect first what is false or obscure in you and persistently reject it, then alone can you rightly call for the divine Power to transform you.

Do not imagine that truth and falsehood, light and darkness, surrender and selfishness can be allowed to dwell together in the house consecrated to the Divine. The transformation must be integral, and integral therefore the rejection of all that withstands it.

 A glad and strong and helpful submission is demanded to the working of the Divine Force, the obedience of the illumined disciple of the Truth, of the inner Warrior who fights against obscurity and falsehood, of the faithful servant of the Divine. This is the true attitude and only those who can take and keep it, preserve a faith unshaken by disappointments and difficulties and shall pass through the ordeal to the supreme victory and the great transmutation.

பூரண சரணாகதியே இறைவன் எதிர்பார்ப்பது. சரணாகதி செய்ய, இறைவன் நம்மை வற்புறுத்துவதும் இல்லை.

...... The Supreme demands your surrender to her, but does not impose it: you are free at every moment, till the irrevocable transformation comes....

அன்னையை சரணடைவோம். இறைவனின் கருணைக்குப் பாத்திரமாவோம்.

மனதில் எழும் அபிப்பிராயங்கள் எல்லாம் உண்மைதானா?

சாதாரண மனநிலையில் வாழும் மனிதர்களுக்கு அபிப்பிராயம் கூறுவது என்பது ஒரு தவிர்க்க முடியாத விஷயம். நம்மை நாமே ஆராய்ந்து பார்த்தால் நமது அபிப்பிராயங்களில் எவ்வளவு தூரம், பொய்யும் உண்மையும் கலந்துள்ளது என்பது தெரியும். ஒரு பொது விஷயத்தை விவாதமாகக் கொண்டால், தன் அபிப்பிராயத்தை முன்னிலைப்படுத்த அவரவர் மனம் நினைக்கிறது. அதில் எந்தனை பேர், அதில் பொதிந்துள்ள உண்மையை நிலை நிறுத்துவார்கள் என்பது கேள்விக்குறியான ஒன்று. இவ்வாறு அபிப்பிராயம் கூறுவதில் நாம் எவ்வளவு தூரம் சத்தியத்தை, உண்மையை நிலை நிறுத்துகிறோம் என்பது சிந்திக்க வேண்டிய முக்கியாமான விஷயம். நமது அபிப்பிராயங்கள் ஏற்படுத்தும் விளைவுகளையும் நாம் உணர்ந்து செயல்பட வேண்டும்.

அன்னை இது பற்றிக் கூறும் போது, அறியாமையின் பிடியிலுள்ள மனத்தில் இருந்து எழும் அபிப்பிராயங்கள் ஒன்றை ஒன்று எதிர்க்கின்றன என்கிறார். மனம் அடங்கி, எண்ணங்களில் இருந்து விடுபட்டால் உண்மை எது என்பதை நாம் அறிய முடியும் என்றும் கூறுகிறார். இவ்வாறு விவாதங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதை நேரத்தை வீணடிக்கும் செயல் என்கிறார் அவர்.

MOTHERS WORDS ON OPINION AND TRUTH

In the Ignorance mental opinions always oppose one another. In the Truth they are complementary aspects of a higher knowledge.

Naturally, all these discussions (or exchanges of opinion) are purely mental and have no value from the viewpoint of the Truth. Each mind has its way of seeing and understanding things, and even if you could unite and bring together all these ways of seeing, you would still be very far from attaining the Truth. It is only when, in the silence of the mind, you can lift yourself above thought, that you are ready to know by identity.

... when you have an opinion and express it, to remember that it is only an opinion, a way of seeing and feeling, and that other people’s opinions, and ways of seeing and feeling are as legitimate as your own, and that instead of opposing them you should total them up and try to find a more comprehensive synthesis. On the whole the discussions are always pretty futile and seem to me to be a waste of time.

....In all opinions there is something true and something false. It is indeed a great and useful thing to be able to listen to the opinions of others without losing one’s temper.


 சத்தியத்தை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட அன்னையின் சத்திய ஜீவியப் பாதையில் நாம் பயணிக்க எண்ணினால் முதலில், அர்த்தமற்ற அபிப்பிராயங்களை நாம் மனதில் கொள்வதை முடிந்த அளவு தவிர்ப்போம். முயற்சிப்போம்.அன்னை வழி வாழ்வோம்.

ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தர், சத்திய ஜீவிய உலகின் இறை அவதாரம் (Supramental Avatar) மட்டும் இல்லை. சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வீரர், கவி, யோகி என பல முகங்களைக் கொண்டவர் அவர். ஆரம்ப கால வாழ்கையை சுதந்திர போராட்டத்திற்கு அர்பணித்த அவர், பிற்காலத்தில் இறைவனின் சக்தியாகிய, சத்திய ஜீவியம் இந்த உலகத்தை அடைய தனது உயிரை தியாகம் செய்து, அச்சக்தி தனது உடலின் மூலமாக இவ்வுலகில் வர காரணமாக இருந்தார்.

பகவான் ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தர், உலகமே புகழும் அளவிற்கு மிகச் சிறந்த கவிதை படைப்புகளையும் அவர் இவ்வுலகிற்கு அளித்துள்ளார். 1910 - களில் அவர் அளித்தத் பெரிய படைப்புகள் புத்தகங்களாக வெளியிடப்பட்டு உள்ளன. Sonnet என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஒரு கவிதை உருவில் The Cosmic Dance  என்ற அவருடைய ஒரு கவிதையை இன்று தங்களுக்காகத் தருகிறோம்.

 The Cosmic Dance
(Dance of Krishna, Dance of Kali)

Two measures are there of the cosmic dance.

Always we hear the tread of Kali’s feet 

Measuring in rhythms of pain and grief and chance

Life’s game of hazard terrible and sweet.
The ordeal of the veiled Initiate,

The hero soul at play with Death’s embrace, 

Wrestler in the dread gymnasium of Fate 

And sacrifice a lonely path to Grace,
Man’s sorrows made a key to the Mysteries, 

Truth’s narrow road out of Time’s wastes of dream, 

The soul’s seven doors from Matter’s tomb to rise, 

Are the common motives of her tragic theme.

அகங்காரத்தை (Ego) விட செய்ய வேண்டியது என்ன ?

நாம் நமது, அகங்காரத்தை விடும் வரை நமது வாழ்வில் இன்பங்களையும் துன்பங்களையும் உணர்கிறோம். என்று நம் மனம் "நான்"என்ற எண்ணத்தை விட்டு அகல்கிறதோ அன்று நம் வாழ்வு அன்னையிடம் சரணடைகிறது. நம் சரணாகதி பலித்தால், வாழ்வில் நடக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு செயலுக்கும் அவரே பொறுப்பாகிறார். ஆனால் அது அவ்வளவு எளிதன்று.

நீங்கள் "நான் அகந்தையை விட்டு விட்டேன்" என்று உறுதியாக இருக்கும் பொது கூட புறச் செயல்கள் இவ்வளவு நாள் மறைந்திருந்த அகந்தையை வெளியே கொண்டு வரலாம். ஆகையால் நமக்குள் ஒளிந்திருக்கும் அகந்தையை விட மிகுந்த உறுதிப்பாடும், அன்னையின் மீது அசையாத நம்பிக்கையும், Practice ம் வேண்டும். அப்படிஎன்றால் அகந்தையில்  இருந்து விடுபட என்ன வழி? அன்னையே அதற்கு வழியையும் கூறுகிறார்.

 .... one gives oneself simply, totally, unconditionally, if one surrendersto the Supreme Reality, to the Supreme Will, to the Supreme Being, putting oneself entirely in His hands, in an upsurge of the whole being and all the elements of the being, without calculating, that would be the swiftest and the most radical way to get rid of the ego. People will say that it is difficult to do it,but at least a warmth is there, an ardour, an enthusiasm, alight,a beauty,an ardent and creative life. 

... you are advised to open only to the Divine and to receive only the divine force to the exclusion of everything else. This diminishes all difficulties almost entirely.

துன்பத்தை நினைத்து வருந்தாமல், அதற்குக் காரணமான அகந்தையை விட்டு, அன்னை கூறும் இந்த வார்த்தைகளை நம்பிக்கையாகக் கொண்டு வாழ்வில் அன்னையை கொண்டு வருவோம். வளமோடு வாழ்வோம்.
